Eighty-year old Jewellers Association in Jaipur is changing with times to match pace with the global jewellery industry and Jewellers Association Show is a part of it to bring the industry together. The show that started last year proved to be the one of the most prominent jewellery show in India. JAS created a platform to bring together colour stone and jewellery dealers across the world.
JAS convener Nirmal Bardiya said JAS 08 starting from August 28 to 31 at BM Birla Auditorium would feature various new and powerful tools for B2B networking. Facilities like online exhibitor profiles, business lounge, a fully equipped VIP lounge, instant business cards etc would help visitors derive maximum mileage out of their visit during this four day show, he added.
Show convener Sanjay Kala said JAS 08 would be showcasing the world of gems and jewellery including loose colour gemstones, gold jewellery, colour stone jewellery, diamond jewellery, silver jewellery, platinum jewellery, certified diamonds, designer jewellery, the Pink City's famous kundan-meena jewellery, thewa, sozo jewellery, studded traditional jewellery, contemporary and fusion jewellery, machinery and tools, trade publications and accessories.
A wide promotion has been done to advertise about the show. Kala said over 40,000 direct mailers and thousands of emails have been sent to different people around the world. The response has been overwhelming. JAS 08 adds another grand hall to last year's floor space to accommodate the increased number of exhibitors. The new addition to this show would be Tucson Hall, the show official informed. The Tucson Hall will be the show's close-out section which will offer exciting opportunities for buyers and sellers of colour stones. The dealers will be able to dispose off their stocks in large quantities and buyers will find never before never again bargains on variety of colour gemstones, Kala added.
The show would be inaugurated on August 28 (Thursday) at 10.30am. Seminar would be organised on Friday and Saturday at 2.30pm, while the closing ceremony would be held on Sunday at 7.30pm, the official added. Apart from this, daily raffle draw would be held on all the four days and last day mega draw of Rs 1 lakh.
JAS 08 will have seven halls namely Tanzanite Hall, Diamond Hall, Rubellite Hall, Emerald Hall, Topaz Hall, Tucson Hall and Grand Hall spread on basement, ground and the first floor, said Baradia.
