The Gems and Jewellery sector has witnessed and undergone sweeping

changes since the beginning of this millennium. Needless to say, the consumers have become increasingly more demanding than ever before.We, at The Jewellers Association, Jaipur are aware of this profound change. We are aware of the glorious past of our prestigious Trade Body, going back to the early years of the twentieth century. We are also aware of a deep sense of responsibility towards as many as 2800 members and over 1,00,000 artisans, manufacturers, importers, dealers and exporters. To be a global leader in gemstone is not going to be easy. It requires nothing short of a BRAND JAIPUR.

India is in the process of being converted from the world's largest manufacturing centre of jewellery to its largest trading centre. Studded Jewellery is one sector commanding everyone's attention. Indian gems and jewellery sector is one of the most dynamic, fast growing segments of the Indian economy. Jaipur being the largest manufacturer of cut and polished colourstone is poised to become the leading jewellery hub. JAS 07 will have about 160 booths - no mean achievement indeed for the first show. The venue is none other than the well-known convention centre, right in the heart of the city : Birla Auditorium. Further more, the dates of the show, 17-20 August 2007 have been selected keeping in mind the fact that September is the Show & Fair month the world over.

Indian Marriage Season, Deepawali festival & X'mas are three most important dates in Jewellers' Calendar and of course 'B2B' important Jewellery Shows. The JAS-07 will cater to all. The initial response to the show has been overwhelming and we fully realize the high expectation for this Jaipur show.The Jewellers Association, Jaipur General Body's direction to organize a Gems and Jewellery show has galvanised everyone into action. The theme is indeed apt, 'The Aura of Colors', which truly signifies many facets of Jaipur,particularly the excellence, traditions and diversity we are known for.
