The countdown for the Jewellers Association Show 2008 has begun. The organizing committee members organized a meeting to review the preparations. In the meeting president Vivek Kala and convener Nirmal Bardia discussed about the responsibilities handed over to different officials. Secretary Kishandas Jhanwar, Arun Gokaru, DInesh Malpani, Gopaldas Saunkhia, Manoj Dhandia, Pramod Derewala, Rajendra Saboo, Rajesh Dhamani, Sanjay Kala Vijay Kedia and advisor Mahaveer Pratap Sharma and other officials were present in the meeting.
JAS 08 organised with the objective of giving international recognition to the jewellery industry of Jaipur and to apprise jewellers about the latest marketing techniques will be organized between August 28 and 31 and preparations are being done at a wide level.
Association president Vivek Kala and convener Nirmal Bardia said Chief Minister of Rajasthan Smt Vasundhara Raje would inaugurate the Show to be held at Birla Auditorium. Industries Minister Dr Digambar Singh, Public Grievances Redressal Committee chairman SN Gupta and Mumbai’s Gem and Jewellery Export Council chairman Sanjay Kothari would also be present during the function.
Spokesperson Sanjay Kala said a seminar pertaining to jewellery would be organized on August 30 at the BM Birla Auditorium. Rama Rhodium director Rajendra Soni would deliver a lecture on Gold and Rhodium Plating and New Technique on Quality Control, while Gemmological Institute of India chief Smt Jaishree Panjikar would speak on Discovery of New Gemstones and New Treatment.
Results of Jewellery Competition Announced
The results of jewellery competition organized under JAS 2008 were announced on Tuesday. JAS 2008 convener Nirmal Bardia said three different competitions were organized that included Bridal, Casual and Fashion Accessories. Sudhir Kasliwal, Rajeev Arora and Anup Bohra were present as judges along with Jewellery Association president Vivek Kala, vice president Rajendra Saboo, secretary Vimal Kedia and Promod Derewala.
