The glitter of JAS 09 is going to shed away the clouds of recession hovering over the global economy. Organisers of the show believe that JAS 09 will bring the much-needed momentum to the gem and jewellery industry. The show will not only provide a business platform to business to business (B2B) class but also throw open shopping options to business to consumer categories with host of latest designs and trendy jewellery products.
The latest survey report reiterates the vision of JAS 09 organisers. The report estimates that the Indian Jewellery Industry will grow by 15% year on year basis. A big chunk of revenue of Indian jewellery industry comes from domestic market. That is the reason why global downturn would not be able to impact the industry much.
In the wake of previous years’ success, the jewellers are confident of the success of this edition too. Every year there is unprecedented increment in the profits earned by the participants during this show. Jewellers just want to be part of this extravaganza, which gives them a ticket to success.
Jaipur Jewellers Association president Vivek Kala said that this gems and jewellery extravaganza would defy all the recession related speculations. “The show will not only be a profit garner for the exhibitors but also value for money for visitors. It will be a learning experience for young and new entrepreneurs showing them a new ways of doing business,” he said.
The show is not just an exhibition of jewellery products, it’s a treasure of knowledge for the next generation jewellers. The importance of the show enhances for more than 2800 members of association who along with their family members look upon the show as pathfinder.
To cash in on the opportunities available at the show jewellers don’t want to leave any stone unturned. They are working overtime to come out with magnificent jewellery creations to woo the buyers. They have departmentalize the work to look different from others. For the convenience of jewellers, the first two hours of the show i.e. 10 am to 12 pm has been scheduled for the business activities only. During this period, entry would be restricted only for the jewellers while the show would be open for visitors from 12 pm to 7 pm.
During the allotment of the stalls, the show organizers have ensured that the show includes stalls from jewellery manufacturing to packaging. There would be a wide range of loose colour gemstones, gold jewellery, coloured stone jewellery, diamond jewellery, silver jewellery, platinum jewellery, certified diamond jewellery and designer jewellery in the show. Similarly, the show would also exhibit kundan meena jewellery, Thewa, Sozo jewellery, traditional jewellery, contemporary and fusion jewellery. Apart from that the show would also provide an opportunity for the people related with jewellery machinery, tools, publication, packing businesses etc. to showcase their products.
